The so-called Brothel is located directly across Marble Street from the Library of Celsus and dates back to 1. Century AD. The building was called a Brothel because, in the excavations, a statue of Priapus with an oversize phallus was found in the house. The statue is now presented in Ephesus Museum.

The brothel had two floors and rooms were on the first floor, even one room had a stone bed. Small rooms were built around an atrium, also the building had a reception room that was decorated with a mosaic depicting four seasons; summer, spring, winter, and fall.
